During the winter holiday, I finally had some time to work on my radio show, Encanto Tropical, which had been on pause since September.
Episode 56 was broadcast last week, and Episode 57 airs this Thursday. They are parts 1 and 2, respectively, of my “2025 Salsa Songlist”, where I spotlight my preferred 25 songs (in each episode) of the past year.
The process was fascinating and fun: shortlisting songs, programming, mixing, providing commentary, adding jingles, and mastering the final result. Together the shows offer an eclectic mix of songs with a wide scope of musical styles under the salsa umbrella.
I emphasize these are not authoritative best-salsa-of-2025 lists; rather, they are personal selections of preferred tunes just to share. I hope listeners can get something out of them.
