Angel Figueroa is an assistant professor in the Department of Intercultural Studies at Josai International University. Research interests include salsa music in the fields of ethnomusicology and popular music studies. As a Japan-based DJ, he has been spinning salsa for more than 25 years. His podcast 'Encanto Tropical' airs on WorldSalsaRadio.com.
